This is a list of anti-acne creams in India that have comedogenic ingredients. So instead of curing pimples, they could actually cause more pimples.
There is no reason to doubt companies’ intentions. They are trying to get the best product out. But acne is unforgiving.
One wrong ingredient and the face could break out in red, swollen bumps that will likely leave permanent scars.
Some of them may still be okay for mild cases of acne, Acne Prone Skin Types 1 and 2 may still be able to work with these and be okay, but if your skin breaks out easily (severely acne prone, Acne Prone Skin Type 3), it would be wise to stay away from these creams.

This could actually be a pretty good acne cream but only key ingredients are given. We don’t know what constitutes the cream base. It has some good-for-skin ingredients: light kaolin, zinc oxide

Now here is a list of acne creams that do not list all the ingredients on the label. Only key ingredients, if at all, are mentioned. When using these, you’re on your own.
It is impossible to say anything about their non-comedogenic property, let alone the anti-acne action. If the above table is any clue, well over half of these products could be comedogenic.
Some of them have been known to work for mild acne, but severely acne prone should tread carefully with unknown ingredients.

It is only a coincidence that majority of them are herbal creams. Simply having herbal active ingredients does not make a product herbal. Almost all of these creams use the same chemical cream base, fragrance and preservatives that “chemical-loaded” creams do. That they don’t mention all the ingredients doesn’t mean they don’t contain any chemicals.
Given how much is at stake, you cannot afford to give rogue anti-acne creams chance after chance. You need to look past the packaging, the claims, the price and the brand loyalty.
