Pond’s White Beauty range of products has been all the rage lately, but if you have skin that breaks out in pimples, watch out, since the White Beauty range doesn’t seem to be designed keeping acne prone folk in mind. Their label doesn’t say it, but their ingredient list does.
Acne Mantra Skingredients is a free online tool anyone can use to check if a skincare or makeup product contains comedogenic (pore-clogging) ingredients that can cause pimples.
Ingredients marked comedogenic or highly comedogenic are very likely to cause breakouts. Mildly comedogenic ingredients do not cause pimples except in severely acne prone folk. If you are prone to breakouts, choose products that contain no comedogenic ingredients or at the most contain mildly comedogenic ones.

Bottom line:
The whole White Beauty range except for the peel-off mask is unsuitable for acne prone skin. Mainly because the same ingredients keep appearing in the whole range with a few added active ingredients here and there. In some products it is niacinamide, in others it is green tea extract and so on, but the base is pretty much the same, comprising of acne-causing ingredients.
There can be exceptions where some of these products will not cause breakouts, but that’s most likely because you are on medication or are using strong exfoliants that prevent clogging of pores. Or just plain lucky. 🙂
