Acne Mantra Posting Guidelines

We appreciate everyone who posts on Acne Mantra and we’re happy to answer questions about products and topics not already covered. Before you post a new comment or question, please consider these guidelines.

Homework helps

There is hours and hours of information available here. If you take the time to read, you will be able to come up with a perfect acne care routine for yourself without waiting for help from us.

If you are new to the website, start here.

Use the search box at the top or go to the home page to browse all posts. There is also a list of topics in the sidebar. Even existing comments and Q&A section entries are loaded with information. Look there as well.

If you can’t find what you are looking for, by all means go ahead and post a comment in a relevant post or post a new question in the Q&A area.

Total solution fast reply

We all want to get rid of acne as soon as possible. But posting hasty comments like, “Can you give me a total solution to get rid of my pimples, acne scars, dark marks and rough skin? Can you give a fast reply? Waiting.” isn’t very useful.

Acne is a disease, even if you only get a few pimples here and there. It cannot be cured in a week. Sometimes not even in a lifetime. Rushing doesn’t help.

Take the time to provide information about how long you’ve had pimples, what all skin care products you are using currently (yes, all products) and if you are taking any medication.

The best cream

We can tell you about “the best creams for acne you might try” but not “the single best cream that will end all your problems guaranteed”. We can only offer suggestions. We cannot give guarantees. We cannot answer questions seeking permission or guarantees, like, “Should I use this cream?” or “Will this definitely work for me?”.

Our goal is to empower you with information so you can decide on your own. That involves trial and error and you will have to experiment a little with products you read about here until you find your perfect regimen.

Relevance matters

For a quick response, post your comment in a relevant post. For example, a comment asking about sunscreens in a post that merely lists face washes will likely go without any replies.

Use the search box, find a relevant post and comment there. If you post your comment in a related post, it will help others looking for similar information too. If you can’t find any related post, post your question in the Q&A area.

Pay it forward

Remember to give back to the people who are in the same boat as you. When you reply to comments from other readers, it helps them feel comforted knowing that you cared. It also helps build a strong community that you can rely on.

Don’t hold back from replying to other people’s comments or questions if you think you can offer something out of your knowledge or experience. Don’t hesitate thinking that your answer might not be the perfect answer.

We are swamped with comments and questions every single day. You can help us and thousands of others just like you.
