Acne and Skin Lightning

0

Hello,

I am a new comer to this site. This site looks wonderful. I am a male in my teens. I have APST-3. I am thinking of going forward with Keracynl Regime. I have region near my Nostrils where there are alwys 2-3 pimples and redness! Also the temple region also has many spots as does my chin. What can i do going forward?

I have moderately oily skin which i guess breaks out easily!

I have also seen that i get Pimples whenever i am under stress. I’m in 12th so lot of stress! :/ Ill be staying home from now on for the next 2-3 months.(Study leave :P) , so i can follow the regime religiously.

Also my face/hand( basically all which come under direct sunlight) complexion does not match my body’s complexion. Is there anything i can do to help me with that?I don’t expect to be very fair , i just want to improve the texture by a shade or two.

Well all i want is a clear skin( A tall ask , i know!) which can help me regain my confidence(I was a very outgoing person before acne). So what do you guys suggest?

Thanks in advance.

@AM. I think i am going to stop with Keracnyl Cream because i feel it keeps breaking me out!

How long do initial breakouts last for?

Rahul if you are sure Keracnyl is breaking you out, then maybe stop it. Before that, just go through this Regimen Troubleshooting Guide with a fine-tooth comb to see if there’s anything else in your routine that could be cancelling out Keracnyl or increasing the irritation, leading to pimples.

Hello @AM and @jassi0302

Some more updates,

I will give Keracnyl one more try from today.

Meanwhile my acne has subdued a lot ( but not completely ) thanks to AHAglow.

I need something to take care of the acne completely along with some scars. I have a region near my nostrils which is as red as a blood clot.

Also on the skin lightening part, I have made no progress. Like i said i am not looking for a radical change i’m just looking to even out the skin tone and maybe lighten it 2 textures.

Also an anti-dandruff  shampoo which is cheap?

Thank you!

Hi Rahul, then what you need is something called Glomed face wash. It is 5% glycolic acid which will help you with acne. Since AHAGlow (1% glycolic) worked well for you, Glomed is like an upgrade in terms of glycolic content. It also has liquorice, which will help you in the lightening department. So this is a two-in-one product. At night you could dab a bit of Kojivit gel on the dark marks to hasten their lightening as well.

The only dandruff shampoo I’ve found work well for me is Nizoral, but others may be able to suggest better options.

Hello @AM!

Will glomed be enough for the lightening? As in is it strong enough?

I will get Kojivit gel and Nizoral too.

Also i have seen a sudden increase in under the skin pimples near the eyes and on the cheeks. Are they supposed to mean something?

I can’t thank you and the others enough for all the help but anyway THANK YOU.

Apart from Glomed, you could add in Garnier Night Peeling Fairness Cream. This cream is non-comedogenic for the most part. @akshaykshardul is using it, so maybe check with him about how it is working out.

@akshaykshardul Help please?

@AM is there a alternative to Suncote? It makes my skin sticky. I searched the site and found Sunprotek to be the only other option. Isn’t there a cheaper alternative?

Thanks

You could use Zoray Aquagel suncreen. It is Rs. 211 for 60 gm and should last you 2 months. Do test it on part of the face first to rule out breakouts. Not many have used it here, but whoever has posted about it, they say it is an acne-safe sunscreen.

Also, please just post your new questions as a new question because this thread is becoming longer and longer and less and less related to acne and skin lightening. 🙂

Garnier Light night (note not “white” night, but “light night”, the earlier version. Though I checked the ingredients, they look similar!). I bought a smaller pack and used it for 20 days at night after Ahaglow. Then later for last 10 days, I am using it alternate nights with Kojivit gel.  I didn’t found it useful. I know 1 month is too less to judge it, but I don’t think I am going to buy another one. Anyhow, it is not a pharma product to show results in small time period. Still, go for it if you are opting for Glomed and Kojivit. Use it alternate nights with Kojivit. May help you! 😀

Guys one last post on this thread and then i’ll begin the new one. Sorry !

@akshaykshardul How is Kojivit gel working for you?Any other suggestions?

@AM I can’t find Glomed anywhere , should i go for Keracnyl Foaming Gel?

What else do i get to deliver the “knockout punch”?

Thanks

Kojivit is doing fine, the latest pimple that I got left a mark (about a month ago), and kojivit is fading that one! Other marks need some time as they are stubborn and from some years now on my skin.

And Keracnyl is fine, you can go with it.

And do you know about public message? (Go to anyone’s profile and click on public message. )
