Hi Ashu,

No I am sticking with Suncote. Sunprotek is not available in B’lore. One of my friend got it from Delhi and is raving about this product. But after reading comments from Rajeev I think it does’nt suits me. No I will never recommend this product to any one. 😉

Hi Nimi,

Skip Sunprotek if you have APST3. 👿

Found one http://www.healthkart.com/sv/neutrogena-ultrasheer-dry-touch-sunblock/SP-3040?navKey=VRNT-34863

Its the body mist…i checked the ingredients given on neutrogena site…its non comedogenic i think..

The torrent pharma lotion sunscreen Sunprotect spf 26 is working for me …especially for winters. and the titanium dioxide in it gives a nice glow. I like it…it`s only 114 bucks. torrent pharma is the company which makes aha glow.but if your skin`s super oily then do not go for it.

@keepcalmandcureacne – What do you say it is good competitor for suncote ?

Yes Nimi do not use lotus products it is comedogenic. If your skin is too oily then try sunprotek 30+ or 50+ from salve essentials. 🙂

@nimi – I guess it is a lotion/spray kind of sunscreen. I will not advise this  🙂

@ashu6074 – the problem with the Sunprotect sunscreen of Torrent pharma is that they havent listed the composition of the lotion base. However , it is not super oily , it`s great for flaking winter skin – but you still need a moisturiser if your skin`s too flaky…and it mentions that it`s water resistant and non comedogenic – and it hasnt broken me out yet- been using it for almost 5 days in a row… I`ll pen down a full review on it…

@nimi I dont think the spray is a good idea for the face – because it mentions it`s a body mist…what if it clogs pores on facial skin ? It might just you know. Like body moisturisers might clog facial skin…dunno…but it sounds convenient…

One the neutrogena site it is mentioned not to spray directly on the face rather take it in hand and then apply…i cudnt find any comwdogenic ingredient in it….m going on a 3 day beach vacation…hence want to buy water-resistant sunscreen..m looking for a budget option..

@nimi – Now understand your concern. Still will not advise this

Guys,sunprotek 50 is the choice among the duo.its a gel formula and doesnt clog pores.However,its not a budget sunscreen at all.it cost me 440rs for 50gm after 10% discount .its actual cost is 480 rs. Spf30 costs at rs380for 50gm.i have been using it for a month now.even i recommended it to someone(i think @sri)in the community.It is actually a moisturiaing formula since it contains phospholids(1 molecule of phospholipid binds with 23 water molecules).hence,it helps in enhanced retention of water in the surface and deep layers of the skin and adds to the suppleness of the skin.it could be a good moisturiser cum sunscreen especially in the winters as acne prone skin are facing dryness.it doesnt feel heavy on the skin like other sunscreens.What i dont like about is the fragarance which is very strong.However,it hasnt broken me out despite the strong fragrance.except fragarance i can say it is non comedogenic very good moisturising sunscreen espescially for the dry and flaky acne prone skin in winters.

I wanted to add my two pence here: People who are looking to buy sebamed for its water resistant quality – you can give it a miss – I took sebamed for my holiday – and it rained – my skin turned white wherever it came in contact with water, and slowly, as the water dripped through – it left behind white streaks and the whole sunscreen was washed away in a matter or minutes.. Should not have happened with expensive products –but that’s life!

It is a good sunscreen otherwise and doesnt cause breakouts.
