As im not getting pimples anymore hence im focussing on old pimple marks all i wanted to know is can i use kaya night cream over bioderma objective serum at night. Also has anyone used bioderma objective serum and is it safe for acne prone skin?
Hi Javed, If your acne is under control & your skin is not over sensitive, then yes, you could try the Bioderma Objective Serum during the night time. It is a very potent serum & definitely works very well & results could be seen within a week to 10 days. It also brightens the skin with a good overall conditioning of the skin as well.
It is safe for acne prone skin in the sense that it is non comedogenic. But it’s safety on your skin entirely depends on the way you use it & the precautions you follow while using it.
But couple of important points which you must follow strictly.
Make sure you are not on any other exfoliating, acne treatments. This means all products like your face wash, anti acne gels like Salicylic acid, AHA etc should be completely avoided especially in the 1st 2 weeks of it’s use.
Please don’t layer the serum with Kaya cream or any other cream for that matter. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser (Kaya or Sebamed soothing gel) & wait for 30 minutes & use this before bedtime. Use sparingly on the skin, just dot it all over the face & simply pat it on. You could skip the moisturizer for the night so that the serum does it’s work well without interference.
Use it first on alternate days till the time your skin adjusts to the VIT C in it & then gradually build up to nightly routine.
You MUST, I repeat, You MUST follow this or it will backfire completely by giving you a severe rash or cluster of whiteheads. Bioderma is very potent & can cause intense irritation leading to acne all over again. If you do follow the above routine with gentle cleansers & neutral creams & use this gradually in your schedule, then yes, Bioderma can do Wonders to your skin surely & it would be worth the money spent!! Hope this helps.
and of course Needless to say , be diligent on use of sunscreen during the day with a good spf of 30 or above.
As of now Javed, when you are using the Bioderma, for 2 weeks, stop using any further lightening agents, Kaya gel also targets pigmentation & Bioderma also targets the same. So Why use 2 products to achieve the same result? Allow the Bioderma to get adjusted to your skin for 2 weeks without any other strong creams/gels etc. Use the Serum sparingly as I told you earlier on alternate days, then step up to every night. You may not even need Kaya Gel if you are using Bioderma as it is by itself a very strong product. If you want to get it’s full benefits, you need to use it as a stand alone product to minimize irritation.
And yes Sebamed can be used along with the Objective Serum. If you find the cleansing foam drying out your skin , you could switch to the Sebamed Clear Face Cleansing Bar or to Kaya soothing gel for the evenings.
thanks for the clarification LD….also i wanna know after using sunscreen in morning or afternoon can i continue to use kaya pigmentation reducer gel or even that should be discontinued??
and regarding facewash can i use sebamed cleansing foam alongwith bioderma objective serum??
