I have dry skin and am using retino a .025 once in 3 days with ahaglow facewash and rejuglow on the spots but only after 2-3 uses of retino a , I am experiencing extreme dryness and also got 2-3 new eruptions.. my skin is mildly acne prone.. now its gotten difficult for me to even apply foundation as whatever I apply on my face now it flakes.. should I stop using retino a?? Please suggest..
Hi @gurleen if you have mild acne why are using Retino A? Initial redness and flare ups are common with retinol creams..wash face with cetaphil cleansing lotion at night and wait for 20 min then apply retino A..this way it reduces peeling and also redness 🙂
Thanks for replying.. I have read a lot about anti ageing benefits of tretinoin and hence have started a regimen including that as im almost 30 now and am concerned about wrinkles. .I have a very mildly acne prone skin.. like an occasional pimple in couple of mnths or so but the marks remain and take loong time to go thats why I started using ahaglow with rejuglow on the spots and the day I use retino a I dont use ahaglow.. I just wash my face with clinique facewash and wait for 20 min and then apply retino a..then I also apply neutrogena moisturiser for combination skin on areas that are dry..
@priya: sorry I forgot to tag you in my comment before…and I have dry ski n so use clinique moisturizer in the day alongwith zoray aquagel sunscreen ( I read good reviews bout it here)..
Hi @gurleen 🙂 use only one exfoliating product in ur routine..replace Aha glow with any other cleanser according to ur skin type. Yup, retinol is amazing in preventing wrinkles. And apply only a pea size of retinol all over face excluding eye area as a layer..dont massage so as to get absorbed. No need to be sorry dear..it happened with me many times 🙂
@priya: thanks ya.. I’ll definitely try it nd keep u posted 🙂
