0

Hey AM and All,

Day 1I finally popped my first pill today after a lot of research.

Cipla Isotroin 30mg after a midnight snack.

Wanted to take one right after dinner but had to drive for an hour so dint wanna risk it.

Anyways here I am as promised letting acnemantra the first to know. And will try to keep a log.

Now I need your help with setting up a regime. Please note I running  low on funds due to my lavish spending this Christmas and New years. So please help me with a Budget Regime.

Facewash – I have narrowed it down to Kaya Skin Clinic Soothing Cleansing Gel Rs. 550 for 200ml (Might get it at a discount through a friend)

Sunscreen – Ansolar(tube will be done in a week or soo) Then going on Suncote gel  Rs. 249 for a 100 gm.

Moisturizer – Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture for Combination Skin (not the SPF 15 one. Rs. 299 for 118 ml.

Also got a few lip balms one from Vaseline and the other from nyassa.

I am using Pantene Hairfall control for Shampooing and a drop of clinic all clear oil for my hair.

Now do I need a facewash (like AHAglow /Ducray Keracnyl / Glomed?

Also can I used a cream/gel to lighten the marks from earlier pimples like Kojivit? or should I wait till later. Also let me know if there is anything else change or add. Please keep in mind Im on a tight budget.

Wish me luck guys, Take care and God bless you all.

Day 4

NO side effects as such except for dry skin.

Using Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer to deal with that.

So far so good, stay on course. A lip-balm will also come in handy. Neutrogena has a lip-balm that has good reviews, otherwise just Vaseline petroleum jelly will do too.

Day 7

Woke up this morning with a pounding headache, I doubt it was related to Accutane. Just one of those days. Much better now.

Also I felt stronger at the gym today, lifted much more than I usually do. Skin still feels a bit dry. Lips Hair Eyes Emotions all fine soo far.

Still have active pimples on my right check. One ready to pop. Wondering if I should do the honors or let it runs its course and dry out!!!

the only side effect that is causing a lil trouble is drying lips, rest its working well.

i hope it doesnt just breakout again in future :).

All best to you too (y)

DAY 30

So let me get straight to it,
My acne has cleared 95%.
Back acne cleared 98%. Only dark scars which seem to be fading.
i cannot feel any bumps or actives on my face
except for one buggar who refuses to heal from pre isotretinoin era.
Can figure out what to do with this one.
Anyways now coming to the dreaded side effects.
I can say I have all the regulars like Super dry skin lip and eyes.
Apart from that I have severe joint and back pain.
Not sure if its the Medication or me pushing myself at the gym,
I have cut down on gyming and other rigorous activities.
Also I have not been sleeping correctly that could be another reason.
Another is this rash i get on my body. They are a cluster of tiny boils.
Around 20 tiny ones together. I think its eczema.

Im using baby oil and finishing all the lotions available at home at the moment. Will need to shift to a strong moisturizer is this continues.
Have been contemplating taking Vitamin E or Fish Oil but really don’t want to take the chance as it may interfere with the Isotroin

My regime right now is Kaya Skin Clinic Soothing Cleansing Gel morning followed by Ansolar or Suncote Sunscreen.
Wash Face with Kaya Skin Clinic Soothing Cleansing Gel evening following by Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture
Wash face with water night followed with Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture
Lipbalm all day and Pure Vitamin E oil on lips before bed.
No tears eye drops whenever eyes are dry.
