Hello everyone! I am new to this site! 😛 (This line was for AM, as she definitely answers questions containing this line. 😆 Sorry @acnemantra !!!)
Please chalk out a regimen from these products for me: (when to use what-more importantly night part)
Sebamed (using from a month (I guess) in morning)
Lotus Herbals SPF 40 (using from a month, obviously in morning! 😀 )
AHAglow (using from 3 months-my first AM product!- at night)
Cetaphil moisturising lotion (bought 2 days ago to use anytime i feel stretchy-preferably in evening after washing face. I also have Aloe Veda Gel for this purpose, but it also makes me feel stretchy)
Kojivit gel (bought 2 days ago)
And finally I wan’t to add (and yet to buy) Keracnyl cream!!
Can Kojivit and Keracnyl cream be used together? like kojivit on top of keracnyl?
This I used in past
CnC skin balancing moisturiser (finished last week-night)
To give details of my skin type: APST 1.5 This means, Garnier BB cream, Lotus Herbals Papayablem and similar heavy creams doesn’t break me out!
morning _sebamed face wash then suncreen (prefer suncote play safe)
evening _aha glow face wash
night -cetaphil cleansing lotion then keracnyl creaM alternate it with kojivit .one day keracnyl next kojivit
use aloe veda moisturiser if u feel strechy .dont use cetaphil moisturiser its comedogenic..
i add cetaphil cleansing lotion for sensitive skin becaUSE of winter and it help with irritation ,strechiness…use cetaphil cleansing lotion only if u dont have sunscreen or other cream because it will not clean well that why i tell u to wash all dirt and sunscreen with aha glow when u come home…when u have tolerance of glycolic acid like in month then u can add glomed and leave aha glow.
Hi Akshay, welcome to Acne Mantra! If you’ve not already gone through this page, please take your time and go through it: https://acnemantra.com/how-cure-acne/ (this is the reply all newcomers receive ;))
What is your goal with the regimen? I mean, you already have clear skin (APST 1.5). It looks like you want general brightening up of the skin and fading of dark spots. Keracnyl cream and Kojivit should be okay to use together. If you use Keracnyl, you could switch to a gentler face wash to avoid excessive dryness. Keracnyl cream can make the skin oily in the beginning, but it kind of settles down over time.
If you want overall brightening up of the skin, you could try Garnier Overnight Peeling Cream instead of Keracnyl + Kojivit. Garnier will be more like a test product since it is thick, but if it works for you, then you won’t have to worry about skin darkening in winter etc. (as you had mentioned earlier). So plan A -> Garnier Overnight plan B -> Keracnyl + Kojivit.
Morning routine of Sebamed + Lotus sounds fine. Good luck and keep us posted newcomer! 🙂
@jassi0302 Thank you man! but, I already have all mentioned products! and turning to glomed from AHAglow? I was thinking of some leave on glycolic acid product (like keracnyl) than just facewash. what say ❓
I was scared thinking will you understand the humour in it!! 😀 But, you are ahead of me! After reading the first line and the link, I was like 😯 but the next line! 😆 Love you!!
back to the question, I am looking for dark spots acne caused me from 7-8 years. Now the acne is cleared (from 2 weeks, God bless me!!) so I thought of marching towards the spots.
I was thinking of Garnier White Night cream(as you suggested earlier too), but I already bought these products.
From these Correct ❓ Prevent (Kojivit gel) and Preserve (Lotus Sunscreen SPF 40), remaining is Correct for which I am considering Keracnyl. And I couldn’t find Keracnyl and needed to shop online, so before that thought to ask once again.
So now confused some more! Use Garnier White Night in place of Keracnyl, and use Kojivit on spots as well? Or just keep my *newly bought* Kojivit aside and use Garnier White as Keracnyl+Kojivit?
and as a new comer 😀 I should conclude with
Please help AM (as if I am drowning down the sea!!) (I ROFL when they say ‘SIR’ to you!!)
Welcome to AM Akshay! Hope you will have a nice time here.
Give lotus 3-in-1 a miss. Instead try sunprotek50+ or suncote. Ofcourse you could use Kojivit gel on top of Keracnyl. Instead of Cetaphil moisturizer continue to use Cnc or even best sebamed clearface care gel. 🙂
Hi Newbie 🙂
I was just wandering instead of using glomed with Keracynl cream.. Keracynl foaming wash will work better with keracynl cream…
Umm, suresh da, you not serious in welcoming me na?
And, Lotus suited me. I can never dream of changing it. It’s been hard for me to hop on Lotus from my Garnier BB cream, which never broke me out!
And CnC kind of caused extra-peeling this winter, so bought Cetaphil. Didn’t thought of Sebamed clear gel! shit man! I wanted to buy that gel and it’s toner too as I liked the Cleanser! missed the chance I guess.
Hi @akshaykshardul, @acnemantra, @jassi0302,
I got one question. If we dont have any active acne then do we need “Correct ” from the CPP.
I mean is it fine if we just follow “Preserve” and “Protect”
What made you to think that I am not serious in welcoming you to AM. See… 😈
😈 😈 😈 😈 :twisted::twisted: 😈 😈 😈 😈
Have a nice evening! 👿
Because suresh da, i am not a new member. You are actually 3 months late in welcoming me! 😆
and good question @ashu6074 , Do we need “Correct” from CPP if we don’t have active acne @acnemantra ?
Hiya Akshay, yes you do need step 1 even if you do not have active acne. Step 1, which is exfoliation, works differently from step 2 and 3. Exfoliation sloughs off the upper layers of the skin faster. This way skin cells making up the dark spots also shed faster. So new, “normal”, non-dark skin cells come to the surface faster. So you see a faster reduction in dark spots with all the 3 steps. Did I say faster enough number of times yet? 😛
as each faster was coming, I was reading it faster! 😀
So I will do as you say, will use Garnier Light Night (not Garnier white night, light night is available-may be the old stock!!) and then after 2-3 months when it gets finished will move on to Keracnyl or stick to Garnier light night or white night as available.
But I am altering plan A (your) a bit. with plan A, I am adding Kojivit along with Garnier light night, for even more FASTER ( ❗ ) results 😀
So keracnyl off my radar as of now! 😆 thanx to you, my about ₹400 are saved (of keracnyl).
