Hi Rakesh..Nice to know you took correct measures to tackle acne..:)
What do you mean by scars?Pitted scars?Dark marks/Blemishes?
For pitted scars you need Triacneal,Glyco,Yugard etc to promote collagen for loss of tissues occurred due to acne..
For dark marks you need CPP Regimen..
Large pores mean you can try salicylic acid products like saslic etc?

Continue to use glyco for pitted scars..
Pitted scars are holes/scars left by cystic acne..

If possible substitute glyco with Triacneal it has retinaldehyde and glycolic acid ..

Its quite costly and have heard some of it side effects so i think i will go with my regular regimen and thnx for the help again teju may god bless u and hope u keep helping us…

Hi Rakesh,

Its highly gross misconception…

There is absolutely no side effects with Triacneal. It is one of the safest retinaldehyde and glycolic acid based cream available.

Ok i will then try it

Hi Rakesh, welcome to Acne Mantra! The strongest cream to help with holes or pitted scarring is tretinoin cream which is sold as Retino-A in India. You might have heard about side-effects of this cream. It works, but you need to be careful all through its use and you need to use it for up to a year to see noticeable difference in such scarring. It is a prescription item and because of the risk of side-effects, we don’t tell people here to just go and buy it. Side-effects include – severe skin irritation including redness and swelling, skin darkening, initial breakout and the one I fear most – hypo-pigmentation which is lighter coloured patches at places. It is powerful, but only if you know what you are doing.

Triacneal is milder, safer and it is constituted to keep any chances of skin irritation etc. away. You could switch to Triacneal once your Glyco 6 gets over.

Meanwhile you can use a silicon based primer – Loreal base magique is a good one – to fill up the pores and make it less noticeable if it bothers you. Tretinoin does help with pitted scars – if only they are not too deep – so it should help in your case.

That silicone primer is a good suggestion. Rakesh, it is a transparent gel. Colorbar Primer is a cheaper and safe option, too.

Also , What you can Β do is , after you wash off the retin A in the morning , do not overwash using a too strong cleanser. Let the plumpness in your skin remain. Rub some ice cubes over the skin , it`d make sure you wont sweat too much during the day (unless you do olympic level acrobatics in the street deliberately – the sad condition of the traffic makes that mandatory lol ) ,then apply the primer, sunscreen and mattify with a powder (since you are a guy you can use a white non pigmented compact or something – like maybelline clearglow or a sheer powder from colorbar – timeplus works I guess -just brush on dont have to get coverage-optional step ) and then blot for the rest of the day.
