Triacneal causing burning sensation?

0

Hey AM

I have read your starter regime trouble shooting guidetails but there are a few things bothering me and I didn’t want to take any chances..

Last time I was in touch I was asked to give starter’s regime a shot as Sebonac gave me whiteheads all over. I would like to fill you with a few updates. I had gone on a vacation towards September end and so I had put triennial on hold till I got back thinking the sun exposure would damage my skin. In the meantime i was sticking to Sebonac for spot treatment but was applying oodles of suncote all over my body. It is quite unbelievable but Β my arms broke out either from too much sun or the sunscreen. I came back home and discontinued using it around my upper arms and the eruptions have tamed down now and i don’t know if it was a coincidence πŸ™

Now that I’m home I started using triennial since last week. My skin used to tingle slightly on first application so I let it stay over night. On the second day my skin was drying up around the corners of the mouth but is it was understood. Even sunscreen and moisturiser was put on hold as instructed. But on the third day I noticed my skin was experiencing burning type sensation during the day when I dint have anything on! My skin was fine during the evenings with a thin layer of triacneal on but I decided to put triacneal know hold for two days. I have resumed from this week. I just wanted to know if this is just my skin adjusting to triacneal πŸ™ worried moving around without sun screen πŸ™ I am even insure if I should suncote after what happened to my arms!

On the happier note, I feel my skin is improving guess it will take time to clear up but the redness and swelling is down i beleive πŸ™‚

Do help

Hi L, it’s great to know about your progress. πŸ™‚

It is rare but possible that you are allergic to something in Suncote. It was good that you checked out Suncote first on your arms. Obviously it will not be a good idea to try it on your face.

Do not use Triacneal around the mouth and sides of nose as mentioned in the Starter Regimen as well as the Regimen Troubleshoot Guide. The burning sensation you’re noticing elsewhere on the face is because of Triacneal being a strong treatment. Plus, your skin is ever more sensitive while on exfoliating treatments. This is the reason why the Starter Regimen mentions covering the face during the first week with a dupatta or some kind of cloth.

It is not a good idea to walk around too much in the sun while using strong treatments like these, sunscreen or not. You’re doing the right thing by reducing the frequency of Triacneal. Once you are comfortable, you could add a moisturizer. If your skin is sensitive, which it looks like it is, Sebamed Clear Face Gel may not be the gentlest choice. You might want to try Aloe Veda Aloe Vera gel. It will not hide the peeling, but will soothe and calm the skin while moisturizing it lightly. To reduce utter dryness, you’ll just have to reduce the frequency of Triacneal. Good luck and keep us posted girl!

Thanks jassi.. I’m following starter’s regime to the T πŸ™‚ I’m not planning to visit a derma with AM around πŸ™‚

thanks a ton AM it feels so good to have a shoulder to lean on in times like these πŸ™‚ I would like to mention here I can’t avoid the sun. My work demands I be out for approximately 50 mins a day πŸ™ I am giving a a dupatta a thought too. I do have aloe Veda at home but was wondering whether to use it or not. If it soothes my poor skin I think I will definitely go for it thanks : ) also AM I would like to mention here many a times today and yesterday my skin was itchy. Maybe it is due to dryness but I see no such apparent pealing anywhere. Confused but fingers crossed πŸ™‚

dupatta can save skin .i heard there are some clothes for face specially for sun u can buy them.

Cotton scarves offer best protection from Sun .i think u can use it .

0

u use sebonac for how long .it can make ur skin senitive thats why ur skin become sensitive for triacneal.

AM sefpil has very bad smell but its light running liquid type not full gel not full cream.

jassi sefpil is cream based … it was like runny liquid for me too after two days but that was coz of the weather. if its humid or hot it effects the texture of the cream. you need to keep it in a cool place…
sonal, sefpil is working wonders. its been 10 days and I see that scars are like a shade or two lighter already. ( I took a pic before I started using the same like u said)
will send a review soon

Hi AM

I’m into my second week of the starter’s regime and I would like to know which sunscreen do I go for as I’m allergic to suncote. Kaya spf 15 or proactive sunscreen. would like to know which is least comedogenic amongst these two or if there are any other options available.

Try Sebamed SPF 30 Spray. Sebamed usually is quite good for all skin types including babies.

It is oil free & Non comedogenic. Make sure you buy the spray or lotion & not the cream version.

Thanks friends πŸ™‚ my skin is very sensitive at the moment and tends to break out on almost anything. I would like a suggestion for APST 3 leaving aside suncote. Thanks πŸ™‚

Hi I, you did not see the suggestions given by me & Rajeev on Sebamed?

Try Sebamed as it is usually quite gentle. The ones mentioned by us are non comedogenic too!

Hi

i have been using triacneal once every week since last three weeks and I think the redness has reduced a bit. Β Can’t say skin has improved much though . The breakouts are still there. Β I have observed i tend to get whiteheads on the second day after applying triacneal. Like the acne doesn’t disappear but turns into a whitehead. Do I apply acne treatment (clean and clear lotion) or do I continue with triacneal on the? I am not getting cysts as such.

Hiya L, Β just like Sebonac and Suncote, it looks like Triacneal is too much for your sensitive skin. Getting whiteheads the next day kind of means that it is either clogging your pores or irritating your skin (or both). Triacneal is an all-in-one treatment – it is a strong spot treatment as well. So you would not need anything else.

Where did Clean & Clear lotion come from? It contains salicylic acid (about half the amount that Sebonac has), so on sensitive skin being treated with Triacneal it can definitely cause irritation. Would you share your exact and full regimen so we may be able to investigate together if there is something that’s making your skin extra sensitive?

When you say you are not getting any cysts as such, do you mean anymore or ever?

Hi AM

Since I keep getting whiteheads I was only following starter regime week week 3 sl. No. 1 where there is a mention about clean and clear balancing moisturiser πŸ™

All the redness I am going through is irritation I understand so I have reduced the no of products um using. Here is my regime:

Morning:
Sebamed foam/cetaphil cleansing lotion alternatively. My skin becomes very red aafter using Sebamed so I went back to cetaphil on alternate days

Aloe Veda gel lightly before leaving for work

Evenings:
Kaya soothing cleanser
Aloe Veda gel

On Saturday evenings: triacneal

I usually get small skin colored bumps or red ones which turn into whiteheads eventually. Cysts showed up last time whenr acne said clogged my pores. They may sometimes show up once in two months but not frequent. But now my skin looks really weird and red πŸ™

Maybe I should have given my skin a break after I stopped using sebonac for almost month before switching to triacneal. I am off sun screen because I am scared to even try Sebamed sunscreen as suggested by my friends earlier as almost anything irritates my skin.
