Tan Removal or Skin Lightening mask immediately after sun exposure?

0

Hi Am, Is there any tan removal mask, gel or visible skin lightening cream or mask that one can use immediately after sun exposure. I’ve observed that no matter how much I dole up on the sunscreen and take precautions, I do get tanned even in the early hours of the morning (7.30 to 8.30) when I go for my walk/run whatever, I think it is the sweating combined with sun that just covers my exposed areas like face, arms, ,neck a shade darker than the rest of my body. This doesn’t happen when I am in the sun normally say between 10 am to 4 pm while not exercising. so If I am out on work during the peak hours of the sun, my skin does not really get tanned so much but when I sweat & exercise in the sun, even though I don’t feel the glare of the sun so much, I still can see a brown tan settled on my face & neck, How to address this? is there any tan removing mask that I can use immediately after I come back from my work out or at least 2 or 3 times a week to reduce the effects of the tan? any pointers on this please?  Of course no guesses that it needs to be non comedogenic & not add to the breakouts!

This has happened to me too. the exercise reduces the effectiveness of sunscreen and the water and sweat resistant sunscreens make me breakout. The combination of swimming + sun is worse. The exposed parts got 3 shades darker. I just started going for a run earlier in the morning and switched to an indoor pool. but thats just a workaround . Id really appreciate it if someone has a solution to lalithas query. thanks !

Hi Lalitha..I was checking out Lotus sunscreens and found this..
Try this Lotus Herbals Safe Sun De-Tan Face Pack..
It has lightening ingredients like vitamins, liquorice, lactic acid and the blogosphere has some positive reviews and also that its suits oily skin..
This is the ingredient list:

There is no major comedogenic ingredients..
So this could work..

thanks Teju, I have used this in the past, but somehow didn’t think it worked.  somehow Lotus & me don’t gel 🙂 I’ve tried using their products but it really did not work for me. How is the keracnyl mask? I thought you had mentioned something about it?

Keracnyl and Proactiv Mask are very good..
I recently bought Avene Cleanance mask, yet to try..It should be good..
I havent tried many Lotus products, was browsing and found it..

thanks but is the keracnyl mask good at lightening or removing tan? any skin lightening ingredients in it? And Cleanance mask – does it have skin lighteners or these are targeted for preventing acne? My primary concern is for tan removal or lightener. will chk out the keracnyl mask surely. thanks again.

I am not sure about the tan part..But Keracnyl and Avene masks are targeted at acne, sebum control..
Keracnyl&Avene has glycolic acid,salicylic acid,Kaolin..
Since they are exfoliants and skin lighteners, they might help with tan..
You can look into this other option from Bioderma
http://www.vibeforall.in/beauty/bioderma-white-objective-serum-night-repair-serum/p-0755502-24476603259-cat.html#variant_id=0755502-24476603259
This has glycolic acid and reviews are very positive…
And yes non comedogenic..
I was planning to include in CPP regimen..
This might be a better fit for tan..

Hi Am, any inputs from you on this question? Can you add to this list & is there any other product you’ve tried & would recommend? then I might take an informed decision. As of now, the Bioderma option suggested by tejupriya seems to be the best. please let me know your views on this.

Thanks for your quick response.

Do we need to use both day and night or only 1 of them ?

And azelaic acid(another lightening agent) and few plant extracts to reduc inflammation..

Hi LD, Bioderma White Objective Serum (night version) seems like a good choice. I saw a renowned Indian dermatologist once recommend this to someone for dark spots. Do run it through Skingredients just to be sure. 🙂

Your post about Paula’s Choice went up today. Excellent, comprehensive!! 😀

Perfect teju, thanks a ton . But Butylene Glycol is mildly comedogenic in the night serum, you think it’s fine?
